Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program/Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) at Southern California Nursing Academy, Inc. (SoCal Nursing)

Southern California Nursing Academy, Inc. (SoCal Nursing) is extremely excited to share, promote, and network with the leaders and frontrunners of healthcare institutions about our highly-rated and expertise in nursing and allied healthcare programs, courses, products, and other education, certification, and consulting services.

Particularly, SoCal Nursing is opening its doors to prospective students who desire to pursue a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program. We are an accredited California Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) through the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Aide and Technician Certification Section (ATCS), and Training Program Review Unit (TPRU). With this said, we believe that we can assist, support, and drive our aspirations to provide a CNA Program that professionally trains students with the theory/didactics and hands-on clinical skills in an outpatient skilled nursing facility or other clinical setting that is necessary for an entry-level positions as a competent and capable Nurse Assistant. The goal of SoCal Nursing is to provide its students with the clinical skills and knowledge to competently work as a CNA in numerous medical practice sites such as inpatient, outpatient, home health, hospice, and other medical and clinical employment settings.

Our Motto:

“Our high-quality education, steady commitment, community involvement and resourceful professional networks are your keys to your dreams and success into a successful medical and clinical career and beyond.” –SoCal Nursing Academy

Southern California Nursing Academy, Inc. (SoCal Nursing) is one of the frontrunners of higher learning and education in vocational nursing and allied health professional careers, always promoting and preserving the unique health and well being of its valued students as well as the significant patients and surrounding local communities they humbly serves and passionately treats and cares for. We want our matriculated graduates to not only diligently work professionally, competently and excel in providing nursing and allied health care to their dear clients but we want them to collaborate and communicate soundly with their peers and superiors alike, to make their own sound decisions independently while proactively expanding their clinical and medical knowledge and training through a curious and open mind to be able to grow as a complete health professional in-hospital, out-of-hospital, and as well as in life in general. We want to encourage a higher level of nursing education and interprofessional health care to facilitate and provide the finest patient care.

Our Vision, Philosophy and Mission Statement:

The sole intent of Southern California Nursing Academy is threefold and similar to the goals of the Nurse Assistant Training Assessment Program (NATAP): to promote quality of patient care; to provide entry-level skills for employment as a Nurse Assistant and to provide awareness of opportunities/choices in health care occupations.

To achieve its threefold purpose, the Nurse Assistant Curriculum of Southern California Nursing Academy is based upon the following beliefs:

  • Individuals have the right to receive optimum health care delivered in a safe environment by a competent caregiver.
  • Learning occurs in an atmosphere of mutual respect; where questioning is welcomed, problem solving is encouraged, and opportunities for guided practice exist.
  • The Nurse Assistant is an important member of the health care team. The Nurse Assistant, under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel, provides direct care to the resident, promotes comfort measures, and collects, records and reports data.

Qualified Licensed and Certified CNA/NATP Instructors:

Our teams of dedicated professionals who are experienced healthcare providers and educators holding varying advanced medical degrees ranging from doctor of medicine (MD), registered nurse (RN), and other clinically pertinent healthcare qualifications are able to provide the best and finest CNA Program, offering the required immediate training and direct supervision of our SoCal Nursing students while working with our wonderful staff, volunteers, patients, and other members of the skilled nursing and long-term facility.
