Diabetes Awareness and Educational Program Sponsored by The Nuqui Foundation

The “Diabetes Awareness and Educational Program” is one of the first low-cost and/or free formal and non-formal healthcare and medically-related seminars and academic instructions for the community presented by The Nuqui Foundation, especially serving those underserved and uninsured students who represent our target population in great need but have very little options for economic and educational resources. As all are welcome but those who qualify as underserved and Coachella Valley residents will have free of charge courses due to the lack of financial resources.

Free Course Eligibility:

  • Must be a resident of or homeless in the Coachella Valley, which include all of the Desert Cities and Unincorporated Areas it occupies, ranging from the west of Palm Springs/White Water to the Salton Sea geographical areas.
  • Must be at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Level.
  • Must not be able to enroll in publicly funding health programs (such as Medi-Cal).
  • Must not be able to pay for courses, seminars and lectures out-of-pocket
